Come explore, take a group educational tour!
Led by professional Museum educators, our explorations are available for Pre-K through 5th grade.
Group Size: Up to 25 students
Tour times: 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. (School Year)
10 a.m. – 12 p.m. or 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. (Summer Months)
NOTE: To ensure a high-quality visit, groups cannot exceed 25 students. Groups larger than 25 students will be divided accordingly. One adult chaperone for every 5 children is required and admitted free. Additional adults will be charged the group rate of $8 each.
PreK to 5th Grade
Bring your class to explore highlights of the Museum with a guided tour led by one of our educators. This hands-on educational experience emphasizes the Museumâs core areas of art, culture, community, communication, and promotes creativity as well as positive child development, while meeting national and state learning objectives.

PreK to Kindergarten
Come to Your Senses
Let your five senses be your guide and find adventure at every sniff, sight, texture and sound. Do hands-on experiments to learn how our senses keep us safe and help us collect information about the world.
Use the Museumâs different rich and interesting exhibits to build observation skills, visual literacy and descriptive vocabulary. Explore color, shape, line, and texture through activities and hands-on art making.
1st- 5th Grade
Dive deep into an underwater world and explore Miamiâs lively sea life! See, smell and touch your way through the multi-sensory tour that investigates fishy sea life, how a coral reef is a neighborhood, and why mangroves are the nurseries of local ocean life!
Healthy Bodies = Happy Bodies
Explore how healthy habits keep our bodies happy and moving! Visit our supermarket to explore the benefits of fruits and veggies, brush giant teeth and learn where food goes. Jump and move with guided physical activities that get our heartbeats going and learn what to do when weâre sick or hurt through hands-on role playing activities.
Art All Around
Everywhere you look, there is art. During this in-depth tour, explore the life and works of artists, compare and contrast artworks, and try out the different techniques artists use to create a point of view, mood, and meaning in visual art in our art making spaces.
New for Fall 2014
Learn the basics of how to count, spend, and save money. Find out why grown-ups have budgets, bank accounts, credit cards, and loans. Learn the difference between wants and needs, and count your money to decide if you should spend or save through role playing in real life situations.
Whose Job Is This?
Learn about the different roles and jobs people in our community have and participate in interactive activities that teach us about the special skills needed to do them. Find out what it takes to be the best firefighter, veterinarian, boat captain, construction worker, nurse, and more!

We accept cash, checks made payable to the Miami Children’s Museum, and credit cards, specifically MasterCard, Visa, or American Express. We do not accept Purchase Orders.
Tour Cancellation & Payment Policy
Cancellation and/or changes to the group tour reservation that occurs between two (2) weeks and 24 hours prior to the scheduled program, will be assessed a $50 penalty fee per group. No-shows and/or day-of cancellations will be changed the full group tour amount of $195 per group. Without prior notification of any changes, the original total will be expected upon arrival.
The full tour fee is due upon arrival at the Museum.
