HOST YOUR NEXT EVENT AT MCM!
THE HOTTEST NEW VENUE IN SOUTH FLORIDA!
The Miami Children Museum’s
will provide a whimsical and fun environment for an array of
private and corporate events. The entire facility, classrooms,
auditorium, promenade, everglades park outdoor area and tech
center may be rented for special events, meetings and
conferences.
Located on Watson Island, the
56,500 square-foot facility, designed by the award-winning,
Miami-based architecture and design firm, Arquitectonica
International, Inc., includes 12 hands-on interactive exhibits
including the Castle of Dreams, Bank, Health & Wellness Center,
Pet Central, Safety Zone, Supermarket, Television Studio, Meet
Miami, the Sea and Me, Ocean Odyssey, Everglades Park, Ports of
Call: Brazil, Port of Miami, Cruise Ship, All About Art and the
World Music Studio, classrooms, a technology center and
auditorium. The museum offers hundreds of bilingual, interactive
exhibits; Subway restaurant and Kid Smart educational gift shop.
Visitors of all ages are encouraged to play, learn, imagine and
create.
AUDITORIUM:
The 170-seat auditorium, which has retractable
bleacher-style seating can be reconfigured for events. This
2,500 square-foot room has a stage, theatrical lighting and a/v
capabilities which includes: on-site audio visual technician,
12 X 12 screen, wireless keyboard/mouse, DVD/VHS, cd player with
a sound system. Also available for rental: portable projector
for presentations and
100 inch portable screen to be used in our classrooms or tech
center.
CLASSROOMS:
Three classrooms are available for rental for
special events and meetings. The classrooms are decorated in
bright primary colors.

Classroom 1 & 2 can be
used individually as a 630 square-foot space each or they
can be combined for a 1,260 square-foot space with a
retractable wall.

Classroom 3 is directly
off our outside exhibition space and is 540 square-feet.
OUTSIDE EXHIBITION SPACE:
Everglades Park, is our 2,808 square-foot space
where outside events may be held. This space houses a chickee-hut
produced by the Miccosukee Indians.
TECHNOLOGY CENTER:
The MCM technology center contains 15 multimedia
computer stations with web access. The center will also have the
software and 1 flat bed scanners, and software for web design, graphics and audio/visual editing.
Color and black and white laser printers are also available.
