Internship
Job Description
The Marketing Intern is responsible for assisting the Marketing
and Public Relations component of the External Relations
Department at Miami Children’s Museum. Intern will provide
administrative support mostly to Marketing/PR side, but also to
the other components of the External Relations Department which
include Development/Membership, and Special Events/Sales, as
needed. Reports to the Assistant Marketing Manager.
Projects:
-
Reorganization of current
media lists, both email lists and physical address lists
-
Research for member events
and Public Program materials
-
Compiling information for
projects related to marketing and sales
-
Update and organize email
lists on Constant Contact
-
Perform other related work as required
(Some off-site, after hours assistance may be required)
Experience/Qualifications/Skills:
-
Seeking bachelor’s degree in
marketing, communications or related field.

Ability to handle multiple
projects and work independently under pressure
-
Must posses excellent
interpersonal and communication skills; administrative;
writing, editing, and proofreading skills; organizational
and planning skills; attention to detail and follow-through
capabilities.

Bilingual a must
(Proficiency in English and Spanish, both orally and
written)

Computer literate (Microsoft
Office and Outlook)

Ability to work in a team
environment involving interaction with staff members, event
organizers, and members of the community.

Non-profit
experience a plus.
