Museum Visit Programs

All field trip programs are lead by professional museum educators. Theme-based programs are available throughout the academic year, on all days that public schools* are in session.

Theme-based Exhibition Programs
Theme-based programs include a 60–90 minute activity in the museum exhibits and an opportunity to explore additional educational activities throughout the museum. All activities are aligned to Florida’s Sunshine State Standards and The Miami-Dade County Public Schools (MDCPS) Competency-Based Curriculum Standards. Pre- and post-visit materials are available, which include FCAT-oriented math, science, reading and writing activities.

Miami Children’s Museum invites teachers & students to choose which tour best fits with what your class is learning! Tours also include a teacher resource packet filled with dynamic lesson plans, sample FCAT writing prompts, and resources and activities to use before and after your field trip experience.  This year, bring learning to life at Miami Children’s Museum!
