Position Summary: The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for creating, implementing, and measuring the success of a comprehensive marketing and communications program that enhances the organization’s image and position within the community. Marketing strategies include, but not limited to: printed materials, public relations, social media, digital and traditional advertising, promotions, community events, special events and website.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Implements marketing and advertising campaigns by preparing marketing and advertising strategies, plans, and objectives; planning and organizing promotional presentations; updating calendars.
• Prepares marketing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing results for specific grants.
• Keeps promotional materials ready, inventorying stock, placing orders, verifying receipt.
• Plans meetings by identifying, assembling, and coordinating requirements; establishing contacts; developing schedules and assignments; coordinating mailing lists.
• Serves as primary liaison to all vendors to complete production of printed materials, advertisements and promotional items.
• Keeps track of all invoices for the marketing department and assists with budget.
• Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
• Work closely with other departments to ensure integration of all social media programs and initiatives. Determine new social media opportunities and improve existing channels.
• Works with Design and Creative Manager to develop key Museum collateral including e-blasts, advertisement, newsletters and direct mail.
• Implement and manage community events promoting the Museum
• Develops and creates promotions for the Museum to increase awareness and revenue.
• Oversee the production and promotion of promotional materials including brochures, e- blasts, newsletters, print ads, programs, events, and other materials to increase awareness.
• Coordinate the development and distribution of branded elements of marketing campaigns including digital and traditional media, social media, sales, and promotions.
• Develop strong messaging and themes for marketing materials.
• Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• BA in Marketing, English, Journalism, Communications, or equivalent degree
• 2-4 years of marketing experience, including supervisory responsibility.
• Ability to manage and maintain multiple projects at once.
• Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, and willingness to develop these abilities.
• Strong computer skills.
• COVID-19 vaccination required.
