MiChiMu Cooking Classes

MiChiMu cooking classes are hands-on classes designated to create and promote healthy eating habits, teach basic cooking skills, and expand children’s knowledge of nutrition and food-related vocabulary. These classes are led by a culinary school graduate Chef that prepares fresh and nutritious foods.

Spring 2020 classes begin January 13 through May 18

Mondays 

  • 2:15 pm – 3:00 pm | Ages 3-5 years (no class January 20, February 17)
  • 3:15 pm – 4:00 pm | Ages 5-10 years (no class January 20, February 17, March 23 )

Classes are $18 (per class) for Members and $20 (per class) for Non-Members

MiChiMu Science Classes

MiChiMu Science Classes

This class creates an environment that integrates the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) program promoting scientific thinking by supporting  the young child’s exploration and experimentation with the world around them. This class provides children with the foundation for critical thinking and problem solving including identifying problems, making predictions, hypothesizing, investigating and recording of scientific events.

Spring 2020 classes begin January 14 through May 19.

Tuesdays

  • 2:15 pm – 3:00 pm | Ages 3-5 years
  • 3:15 pm – 4:00 pm | Ages 5-10 years (no class March 24)

Classes are $18 (per class) for Members and $20 (per class) for Non-Members

The Leadership Club

The Leadership Club

This program provides a safe and fun environment where children engage in social activities designed to maximize their fullest potential. Building strong academic skills, while building character, helps to reinforce the traits of a successful leader. Through collaborative  efforts and on-going projects, children will have an opportunity to develop and practice these skills.  

Lessons learned in these activities include: 

  • Making friends
  • Working as part of team
  • Managing challenging situations
  • Learning relaxation techniques
  • Prioritizing skills
  • Planning & Implementing projects
  • Establishing good study habits

Wednesdays

  • 3:15 pm – 4:00 pm | Ages 5-10 years (no class March 25)

Classes are $18 (per class) for Members and $20 (per class) for Non-Members
