ESSENTIAL FUNCTION
Perform main stage, camp and outreach shows.
Make character appearances on the museum floor
Lead dance parties, story times and other activities
Run technical aspects of shows(light, sound and audio/visual cues)
Help create and develop original shows and virtual content, edit virtual content
Assist with department organization, including but not limited storage spaces, costumes, laundry, file sorting, etc.
Attend meetings and participate in Museum trainings
Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Acting, Theater, Education or similar or a minimum of three years of professional experience in the performing arts industry.
Experience working with children.
Bilingual is preferred
Must have own transportation
AUDITION REQUIREMENTS

Auditions will be held at Miami Children’s Museum, 980 MacArthur Cswy, Miami, Fl, 33132.
Please prepare two contrasting monologues no more than four minutes total that demonstrate character range.
If you sing, sing for us. You can bring a backing track on a phone/ipod or sing acapella.
We are looking for theater makers as well, so show and/or tell us other theater making talents or experiences you may have. For example, costume making, script writing, composing, cue running, etc.

Must be available to work Summer 2023
Weekly hours: 12 to 28 hours
Must be available at least one week end day between 9:30pm-6:00pm and either Tuesdays or Thursdays from 9:30am-6:00pm
