  • Classic Guided Exploration: Play, imagine, learn, and create while visiting eight of our most popular galleries.
  • Themed Guided Exploration:
    • Career Exploration: Explore various career paths, pretending to be a worker while enjoying interactive exhibits and displays.
    • Journey into Creativity: A magical adventure through the exciting worlds of art and music unlocks creativity and helps students learn new forms of expression through color, sound, and imagination.
  • Classic Tour with Theater Performance: In addition to visiting eight of our most popular galleries, the Miami Children's Museum Theater Troupe will entertain students with various performances throughout the school year.

Cancellation and Payment Policy

We expect full payment by cash, check, or credit card upon arrival. We do not accept purchase orders or phone payments.

We do not accept reservation changes by phone. Email all requests to fieldtrips@miamichildrensmuseum.org. Cancellations made within one week of the scheduled program will incur a $50 penalty fee per tour group. We charge the full amount for no-shows or same-day cancellations.

  • During the School Year: Tuesday through Friday, 10 am to 12:30 pm
  • Summer Months: Tuesday through Friday, 10 am to 12 pm OR 1 pm to 3 pm

Group Size

To ensure a quality educational experience, we base field trip groups on 25 students and five adult chaperones. The group cannot exceed seven chaperones and 27 students. We will divide larger groups and cannot accommodate additional adults beyond the specified number.

Pricing Per Tour Group

  • Classic Guided Exploration - $275
  • Themed Guided Exploration (Career Day or Journey into Creativity) - $325
  • Classic Guided Exploration with Theater Performance - $350

Group pricing is based on 25 students. Additional chaperones are $10 each, and students are $12 each (max of two per group).

What age groups are suitable for field trips?

Is lunch provided during the field trip?

We do not offer meals and do not allow catering in the museum. During the school year, groups have access to our outdoor picnic area and can bring their own bagged lunches. No inside seating, refrigeration, or heating/microwaving is available.

How are accommodation requests handled?

Tour Cancellation & Payment Policy

Cancellation and/or changes to the group tour reservation that occurs between two (2) weeks and 24 hours prior to the scheduled program, will be assessed a $50 penalty fee per group. No-shows and/or day-of cancellations will be changed the full group tour amount of $200 per group. Without prior notification of any changes, the full tour fee will be due upon arrival at the Museum.
