Join us every Friday for a high-energy experience designed to get little bodies moving! Through playful movement, music, and hands-on activities, children will build coordination, balance, and body awareness. From freeze dance and ribbon twirling to water bin play, tossing games, and exploring the difference between heavy and light, each session is packed with gross motor fun, sensory exploration, and plenty of reasons to wiggle, jump, and groove.

Mini Mondays are a place for infants and toddlers to grow and develop through play. Join us every Monday for a program full of play-based activities specifically designed for children from birth to five.

Spring Into Creativity!
Celebrate the season of growth and creativity at Miami Children’s Museum! During this one-day Spring camp, children will design vibrant fabric flowers and build a collaborative garden installation before planting their own seed starters to take home. Campers will explore pollinators, plant life cycles, and the joy of growing something new.
Hop into Easter weekend with a day of festive play and creative crafting! Start the adventure on the playground for our Annual Egg Hunt, or come inside and search for our hidden golden eggs. After the hunt, head to craft fluffy cotton-ball bunnies, design your own custom bunny ear crowns, and get messy with marbled shaving cream Easter cards. Whether you’re racing in our Easter Relay or designing a unique upcycled basket, there’s no better way to let your imagination run wild.
Honor Passover with an interactive story time. Listen to an inspiring tale hosted by special guests from PJ Library, then construct a custom tambourine using paper plates, dried beans, and colorful ribbons. Shake and test your handmade instrument as you learn the history behind the holiday.
Get moving at our Fitness Friday, an inclusive and high-energy workout designed for all abilities! Focus on building strength and coordination through four simple, effective movements: rhythmic hops, wall pushes, steady bear crawls, and high marches. This session provides a supportive environment with clear, direct instructions to help everyone stay active and build confidence. It’s the perfect way to get the heart pumping and celebrate movement in a fun, accessible way!

Experience Autism Acceptance Month with a morning designed for connection and ease. Explore interactive stations across the entire museum that highlight different sensory preferences through hands-on play. Test real-time regulation tools, practice calming strategies you can use anywhere, and navigate the galleries at your own pace in a supportive environment.

NAEYC’s Week of the Young Child is a celebration of young learners! Jam to live rhythms and experiment with instruments during Music Monday! Layer fresh ingredients to create fruit parfaits and design colorful food collages in the Art Studio for Tasty Tuesday. Build and problem-solve together as you construct imaginative forts during Work Together Wednesday. Paint at the easel and sculpt with clay during Artsy Thursday. Create a family tree using paper dolls and storytelling on Family Friday.

Join us for “WHO IS THAT?” – Build-A-Character Sculpture Station. Design and build a 3D character with artist Maria Barbist. Start by constructing a sturdy skeleton out of wood, then use your imagination and self-expression to bring them to life with colorful fabric, paper, googly eyes, fuzzy sticks, and more!

Kick off Earth Day weekend by turning everyday items into eco-friendly treasures. Construct custom wind chimes using upcycled bottle caps and a variety of hardware, then assemble unique animal sculptures from mixed media and recycled plastics. Experiment with textures and sounds as you transform salvaged materials into one-of-a-kind art projects to take home. On Saturday, enjoy a bug workshop, and on Sunday, listen to a recycled instrument band, The Cateura Recycled Orchestra!
Experience the Glow at Playful Putters! Join us for a relaxed evening of mini-golf on our glow-in-the-dark course as well as a Silent Disco. We’ve adjusted the environment to be more sensory-inclusive by using steady, soft-glow lighting and keeping background music at a low, comfortable volume throughout the museum. Our "par-tee" is all about playing at your own pace in a supportive space. Feel free to wear your favorite neon colors to join the fun! A designated quiet zone with sensory tools will be available nearby if anyone needs a break from the action.
Join Ladybug Lori for an Earth Day event! Little entomologists will get exciting hands-on STEAM activities along with live bugs! Grab your magnifier and examine many-legged millipedes and blue beetles!

We’ll finish the session by "planting seeds" through explosive Squat-to-Jumps and navigating a "Nature Trail" obstacle course. It’s a great way to get the heart pumping while celebrating the beauty of the Earth in a fun, inclusive environment!
