Join us every Friday for a high-energy experience designed to get little bodies moving! Through playful movement, music, and hands-on activities, children will build coordination, balance, and body awareness. From freeze dance and ribbon twirling to water bin play, tossing games, and exploring the difference between heavy and light, each session is packed with gross motor fun, sensory exploration, and plenty of reasons to wiggle, jump, and groove.

Mini Mondays are a place for infants and toddlers to grow and develop through play. Join us every Monday for a program full of play-based activities specifically designed for children from birth to five.

Baby STEAM: Where STEM meets the ARTS – a first step into STEAM discovery

Baby STEAM is an enriching weekly program designed to captivate our youngest visitors while showcasing Miami Children’s Museum’s commitment to playful, early learning. With a unique blend of science, technology, engineering, art, and math—tailored for ages 1 to 3—each session offers sensory-rich, age-appropriate activities that promote creativity, confidence, and critical thinking. By highlighting gallery exploration, art integration, and interactive storytelling, Baby STEAM positions the Museum as a leader in early childhood education and STEAM programming, while providing valuable content for family engagement, sponsorship visibility, and community outreach.

Celebrate National LEGO® Day with a day dedicated to creativity, building, and imagination. Explore LEGO® displays throughout the museum and jump into hands-on building experiences where all programming invites kids to design, stack, and construct their own creations. From free-build challenges to guided activities, this LEGO®-filled day encourages problem-solving, collaboration, and playful learning through building.

Get your inner architect ready for the ultimate Building Weekend! Join us for two full days of construction madness. Whether you’re stacking classic LEGO bricks, engineering 3D masterpieces with Magna-Tiles, or crafting frontier cabins with Lincoln Logs, there are no limits to what you can create.

Canvas of Culture will anchor our Black History Month programming during the week of installation, transforming the museum into a vibrant gallery that celebrates Black history, culture, and creativity through the voices of our SMART Afterschool students. This curated exhibition highlights student artwork inspired by identity, heritage, and community, inviting families to reflect, connect, and celebrate together.

Join us for a special evening reception and soirée on February 6th from 6:00–8:00 PM, Canvas of Culture is an immersive exhibition celebrating Black history through the decades, featuring six powerful installations, small bites reflective of rich culture, and a Sankofa-inspired interactive space for reflection, ancestral connection, and future hopes. Join us for an evening of art, storytelling, and a special film screening highlighting children’s performing arts.

Inspired by National Send a Friend a Card Day, experience the joy of connection and communication through print. Explore how messages have been shared, received, and valued in different cultures and communities. These experiences will come to life as you shape messages using clay, design personal cards, learn how mail travels across distances, and discover stamp designs that celebrate African American history.

Step into the spotlight at For the Love of Fashion: Fashion Show on Sunday, February 8, 2025, the exciting finale of our fashion series celebrating creativity, self-expression, and design. Models will showcase their custom outfits created in collaboration with Gloria Couture. With an engaging MC setting the tone and a live DJ bringing the energy, this vibrant fashion show celebrates confidence, artistry, and the joy of seeing ideas come to life on the runway.

Love is in the air! With Valentine’s Day on the horizon, it's time to celebrate the unconditional love you and your mini one have for one another. Create photo frames based on Kehinde Wiley’s famous paintings, cook with love during Cooking Play, and paint a beautiful heartfelt masterpiece during Easel Play. Don't forget to wear red and hearts!

This month’s theme brings food and shopping routines to life through playful, sensory-rich activities that support real-world learning. Use your words to add a loving sentiment to our Valentine Messages of Encouragement Wall, use your hands to mold air-dry clay and create a one of a kind gift for a loved one, and decorate heart shaped cookies together in Cooking Club.

Join us every Second Sunday of the month from 9:00 AM to 11AM for exclusive early access to the Museum before we open to the public. It's a special time for you and your family to explore, play, and enjoy the exhibits at your own pace. Plus, we're serving complimentary coffee to help parents start the morning off right!

Join us for a beautiful, hands-on floral workshop led by floral artist Jowanna Knight. Known for her thoughtful, expressive floral designs, Jowanna will guide participants through the art of creating intentional arrangements that tell a story. The Artist’s Lens program introduces children to diverse artists creating unique art that is shaped and inspired by their cultural and identity experiences and background.
