Baby STEAM: Where STEM meets the ARTS – a first step into STEAM discovery

Baby STEAM is an enriching weekly program designed to captivate our youngest visitors while showcasing Miami Children’s Museum’s commitment to playful, early learning. With a unique blend of science, technology, engineering, art, and math—tailored for ages 1 to 3—each session offers sensory-rich, age-appropriate activities that promote creativity, confidence, and critical thinking. By highlighting gallery exploration, art integration, and interactive storytelling, Baby STEAM positions the Museum as a leader in early childhood education and STEAM programming, while providing valuable content for family engagement, sponsorship visibility, and community outreach.

Step into the spotlight and learn about the world of theater with our very own in-house Theater Troupe. Participate in improv, physical comedy, musical theatre, costume design and puppetry workshops and catch our latest original production, Anyways, Golf! This weekend is your time to shine!

Award-winning young author, explorer, and naturalist, Elvia Gomez Troya, launches her debut English-language book Things That Blow My Mind About Animals.

Don’t stress the mess at home and join us at the Museum for a weekend of messy play! Jump into our bubble foam party, get your hands gooey with slime, and make your mark on our mural with frozen paint popsicles. Bring a towel or an extra change of clothes to make sure you can fully participate in the mess!

Light up your weekend at our Anniversary Glow Party as we celebrate MiChiMu's birthday! Dance under blacklights, play glow in the dark party games, and make glowing slime. Bring the whole family to play, glow, and celebrate with us!

Kick off Hispanic Heritage Month at Sensory Friendly Saturday, an exciting morning of hands-on discovery in a welcoming, low-stimulation environment! Explore Amazon rainforest sensory bins, play percussive instruments in a Spanish drum circle, and join an interactive theater storytime highlighting Spanish cultures. Connect with local community partners to gather valuable support and resources. It’s the perfect space for your family to explore, create, and learn at your own pace!

Every second weekend of the month Arts Alive brings the magic and creativity of the arts all throughout the Museum.  This weekend’s focus is Visual Arts led by our in-house artists. Children will be able to create mosaic creatures with tile and sand and explore beautiful runs of watercolors.  Leave the Museum with your very own masterpieces to create a gallery at home!

Join us every Second Sunday of the month from 9:00 am to 11:00 am for exclusive members only early access to the Museum. Read-along with our theatre troupe at a special Back to School story time. We're serving complimentary coffee to help parents start the school year off right!

Mini Monday is back!  Your Mini Monday team has an amazing, fun-filled, playful day planned for you and your littles. Catch the in-house theatre troupe's performance of Piggie and Gerald, create a painted masterpiece during Easel Play, and enjoy your favorite play-based Mini Monday activities.  Don’t miss an interactive GIANT Bubble Show at 11:00am! Travel back in time with us! This weekend we’re kickin’ it old school for a celebration of play through the ages. Play jumbo versions of your favorite classics like jacks and dominoes, design a forever friend with your take-home pet rock, make scoubidou keychains, turn your family into paper dolls, and keep fun on hand with your custom sock puppet. This weekend will be fun-filled family time for all the generations!

Put on your best costume and get ready to trick or treat throughout Miami Children's Museum's 17 galleries on Sunday, October 4th from 1pm to 5pm! This family-friendly Halloween extravaganza returns for activities like mini pumpkin decorating, spooky arts and crafts, lunch, character meet & greets, and much, much more! Our renowned Haunted House is back, enter if you dare!

All funds raised through this event will directly the support the Museum's educational programs, ensuring the highest quality immersive, hands-on learning experiences for our community's children of all backgrounds and abilities.
