  • can be used to calm hyperactivity or negative behaviors

This adaptation was originally created for the nine schools that we work with to bring performing arts programming to their students with disabilities: AKTIV Learning Academy, Carrie Brazer Center For Autism, Coconut Palm Elementary School, Crystal Academy, Debbie School, Driftwood Elementary School, Learning Links School, The Tikvah Center, and The Victory Center for Autism & Related Disabilities.

We’re so excited to partner with longtime museum supporter & friend, Romero Britto, for a special Museum at Home art activity! Join Romero as he shows your kids how to create their own version of his iconic “Heart with Wings” and then turn it into a puzzle!

You can hang your heart drawings up outside to show your support for healthcare workers or make puzzles to do as a family in honor of Autism Awareness Month.

Passover Charoset | Cooking Class

Today we’re learning together in the kitchen as we get ready for Passover! Join Marcilia, our public programs coordinator, as she makes Charoset, a sweet, dark-colored paste made of fruits and nuts eaten at the Passover Seder! There are many variations you can make at home, but for today’s recipe we used:

– 1 green apple, peeled and diced

– 1/2 cup dates, pitted and chopped

– 1/2 cup raisins

– 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped

– 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

– 1 pinch of cardamom

– 2 tsp sweet wine (or grape juice)
